In our last Intuitive Painting Circle we introduced the idea of starting a daily creative practice. It's quite simple. You set aside a few minutes each day to allow your inner artist to come alive and create. It can be as simple as doodling, journaling, watercolor, collage,...you get the idea. A couple of my own daily creative endeavors are below just to give you an idea of how simple it can really be. What are the benefits? It can be relaxing and also awaken other areas of creativity. One participant told me that the daily practice brought her to the realization that she wants to write a book! If you missed the last session, come to the next painting circle on Monday November 7 and receive a journal to begin your own daily creative practice!
So, what wisdom does the fall season hold? After returning from a delightful walk at Shades State Park on Sunday I was struck not only by the beauty of the changing colors but also by the elegance and ease of the season. Cooling temperatures and a releasing of what has been, but is no longer needed. Have you considered this? What has been , but is no longer needed... Are there things you would love to release and let go of? We'll talk about this in our painting circle on November 7, 6-8:15 pm. Those who wish, can share about what the daily creative practice has done for them. We will paint, and share some wonderful fall treats with tea and apple cider. I hope to see you there!
